Essex Kitchen
Dining with a View

Project type

Year Completed

This family’s home in Essex has been in the family for generations and a kitchen renovation has been due for quite some time. When they were finally ready they gave us a call and we were glad to be a part of this update to a well-loved home. The primary goal for this renovation was to bring light into their kitchen and dining area. We removed a wall of closets that opened the kitchen up to the front room of the house, where they replaced a pair of double hung windows with a large square Anderson 400 series picture window. Since we were also able to hide a new supporting beam flush with the ceiling they now had optimal natural light plus an uninterrupted view of the sweeping Essex marches. All new cabinets and countertops were sourced from our partners at Grand Banks. They selected Medallion’s Silver line semi-custom cabinets with a full overlay in Jackson door style painted Sea Salt with LG Viatera quartz countertops in Karis. Decorative crown moulding connects the cabinets to the ceiling and was continued throughout the room. The family was thrilled with the outcome and we were proud to be a part of it.
